16 Personalities
The 16 Personalities Assessment, commonly known as the Myers‑Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), is a popular self‑report questionnaire designed to identify an individual’s personality type. It was created by Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers in the 1940s, building on Carl G. Jung’s theory of psychological types. The tool is widely used in personal development, career counseling, team building, and relationship coaching.
Core Concept
The assessment is based on four dichotomies (opposing preferences). Each person is thought to lean toward one side of each pair, resulting in a four‑letter code that uniquely identifies one of 16 personality types.
Career Interests
The Holland Career Interest Assessment, also known as the RIASEC model, is a widely used tool that helps individuals discover which career paths best align with their personality traits and interests. Developed by psychologist John L. Holland, it categorizes people’s preferences into six distinct types—Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional—each represented by a specific color. By matching a person’s dominant colors with those of various occupations, the assessment provides personalized guidance toward fulfilling and well-suited career choices.
